Volunteer Animal Lovers Needed CPEC117

A local agency with an "enthusiastic" new working committee is looking for people to volunteer to work with horses.

This organisation offers horse riding lessons for people of all ages, with all types of disability.

"Sometimes clients benefit from the therapy of sitting on the horse's back and enjoying the ride, whilst others have dreams to represent Australia at Paralympic level".  You can be part of the team to help realize these dreams.  Could you help out in the following positions?

 

POSITIONS:

Side Walkers

Walking with horse and rider during their therapy lessons. Volunteers will be trained and supervised by the coach to be a walker.

Dedicated Team Member

A dedicated team member is required to assist a client who has been nominated for regular rides on a weekly basis.  This person needs to be fit and must be reliable.  Training and supervision will be carried out by our coach. 

Requirements

  • Good communication skills are needed
  • Current Blue Card or
  • Police Check
  • A good sense of humour
  • Able to work with a team
