Resident Care Volunteers ARV184


 This local organization is looking for enthusiastic people with good communication skills and a sense of fun and humour to join their team assisting Aged Care Staff at their Victoria Point Aged Care Facility.  They need people who can assist with daily activities both planned and unplanned for residents.  You can make a difference to these residents!   



 A wide variety of activities happen every day.  People with different talents and skills can be part of this dynamic team.



  • Social outings and picnics
  • Wheelchair walks for residents
  • Escorting residents to their appointments
  • Feeding residents and/or assisting with morning and afternoon tea
  • Visiting/reading to residents.  Helping residents with correspondence as well as clothes repairs
  • Helping in the café or operating the confectionary trolley
  • Accompanying a client to visit another client who has a similar cultural background and first language that is not English. Some of our clients embrace origins from France, Spain, Latvia, Germany, China, Lebanon and Egypt. A volunteer from a similar background who would be able to converse with these clients, so that they didn't feel isolated
  • Maintenance and/or gardening 
  • Assisting Lifestyle team members
  • Reading to residents



Volunteers will recognize and respect the dignity, privacy, spiritual and cultural needs of residents and have a caring compassionate nature.

Current Blue Card (this application can be submitted by the facility).
